Felixusa and Felix Printers 3D / Felix Robotics were present at the latest 3D Printing expo for Lockheed Martin personnel, which took place on the October 22. This presented us a great opportunity to showcase our latest iteration, our Felix 3.0 3D printer, to some real engineers and professional hobbyists.
We noticed that there is a growing Felix printer community even at Lockheed Martin. The event allowed us to share the latest innovations, ideas and of-course the results. We compared our results with the latest 3D printers around and were happy to notice that in quite some area's the Felix 3.0 was outperforming our main competition in its price range.
Nowadays there are so many choices, this was also apparent at the expo, with some confused engineers walking around. You can buy a 3D printer for couple of hundred to couple of millions. At the end what it comes to is what do you want to do with a 3D printer as a user ? Our main focus has been to be at the top of the 'up-to 3K dollar printers, focusing on the more serious DIY/Hobbyists to the small businesses who needs low-cost high quality printers. True, our Felix 3D printers do not come with the fancy gimmicks like Bluetooth, WiFi and fancy led lights at the moment, but what it does have is a unmatched printing quality coupled with a large build area and a good support base in its price range. With the Felix line, we are focusing on high quality printing first. At the end that is what the engineers, serious hobbyists and home DIY folks love about our printer. And now our latest v3.0 also offers dual-head printing capability with a heated bed.
